What is an EPlus English language Testing System (EP ELTS)?
A recognised English language proficiency test to check your competency for higher education, professional career.
Why is EP ELTS important?
With modest investment of time and resources, candidates can build an understanding on the development of English Skills in READING, WRITING, SPEAKING and LISTENING. Also it will validate candidate's knowledge on different techniques and methodologies inherent with using the English language in both Intermediate and Professional Level.
How does EP ELTS work?
There are three EP ELTS tests available – The candidate can either choose the general, professional level or select the English for Specific Purposes (ESP) examination. Choosing the level ,depends on your preference or either your requirement.
This examination is conducted to check if your level of English language proficiency is suitable for an academic or basic environment. It often helps you determine if your academic language is suitable to begin training or studying.
This examination will determine if the English language proficiency can be tested on a practical, everyday context. It is an advanced English test compared to the general level, and is often conducted on both workplace and social situations.
Achieving proficiency in the English language is vital for professional success internationally. While a General English course offers learners the opportunity to become fluent in the language, English for Specific Purposes (ESP) provides content altered according to the needs of the learner and the requirements of their profession. Furthermore, the learner is expected to have basic English language proficiency prior to starting the course as ESP focuses on task-specific vocabulary and communication.
Choosing the right examination?
There are two EP ELTS tests available – The candidate can either choose Intermediate or professional level. Choosing the level ,depends on your preference or either your requirement.
Intermediate – This examination is conducted to check if your level of English language proficiency is suitable for an academic environment. It helps you determine if your academic language is suitable to begin training or studying
Professional – This examination will determine if the English language proficiency can be tested on a practical, everyday context. The test is conducted on both workplace and social situations.

Venue : EPlus authourized online test centres
Students’ oral, reading, listening and writing skills are evaluated through assessment tasks related to the learning outcomes.
Candidates are tested in all four skills. All candidates will be tested on the Reading, Writing, listening examination on the EPlus online exam engine and the student can either choose to sit for all 4 examinations continuously or choose separate dates for the speaking examination, based on the availability in our system. The Speaking examination will be conducted on a later date. The Student has to register for the exam date online with Eplus International REGISTER HERE and the tests are designed to cover the full range of ability from nonuser to an advanced user.
The results of the examinations once all modules are completed will be given no longer than 14 days after the examination. The following is the EP ELTS band score results.

Resit an exam
EP ELTS has no official restrictions on the number of times an individual is allowed to retake the exam. There is no mandatory waiting period before taking the EP ELTS again and the test-takers may register for another exam when required. There are also no limits on how often students may take the exam within a given period of time, but this is subject to test availability of the centres.

There are three categories for the EP ELTS assessment, they are
- Self Preparation Candidate
- Training Institute Coaching
- Directly sit for the assessment.
The EP ELTS test has four sections including
SPEAKING (15-20 minutes)
LISTENING (60 minutes)
READING (90 minutes)
WRITING (60 minutes)
All candidates can either choose to sit for all 4 examinations continuously
or book another date for the speaking examination,
based on the availability in our system. The speaking examination usually will be conducted on a later date.
The LISTENING, READING and WRITINNG tests can be completed one stretch.
The Speaking test will be held either ,
